In late 2001, Nemo-Q International AB signed a license agreement with MySQL AB covering the use of the MySQL database within their entire electronic queuing system. The system consists of the workstation area behind the counter, the waiting area with display of called numbers to waiting customers, and the back-office handling of statistics concerning number of waiting customer and other data. Also, statistics may be analyzed on a local and regional scale using MySQL.
"With the MySQL database, our customers have received a tool to meet the increased demand for better service and efficiency. Quality analysis is now presented with incredible speed. For this reason, we have chosen to deliver MySQL database as a standard with all of our queue information and statistical systems," says Nemo-Q marketing manager, Mats Urwader.
Nemo-Q company technicians, having successfully used the MySQL database in parts of company operations, suggested to management that MySQL should be used throughout the entire chain, facilitating and speeding up the handling of data. This solution is currently being tested and evaluated at customer facilities in Spain and Greece.
